130,000 students have donated to Obama's Presidential bid.

According to a video posted this morning to Senator Barack Obama's campaign website (see screen shot to the left), nearly 130,000 students have given to his campaign for President.

Today, the New York Times reports that Sen. Obama's presidential campaign fundraised $150 million dollars in September alone, nearly double what the Democratic candidate raised in the previous month.

The average contribution, David Plouffe, Obama campaign manager explained, was $86 dollars.

The flexing of Millennial political muscle is made clear in these numbers, as students were one of the two largest group of donors to the campaign last month.

Last week, the Philadelphia Daily News posed the question: "[Young people] are registered, but will they vote?" Now the question, however cynical it might be, must be amended:

We're registered and we're giving (a worthy and ongoing chunk of news in its own right), but will we vote?
